Hand-woven from recycled PET cord over a leather-bound rim, with a smooth interior that will not catch on a working yarn. It holds three 100g skeins, or a sweater’s worth of yarn and your pattern book.
Available as a single basket, a pair, or a set of four that nests when not in use. Because it is woven rather than moulded, each one varies slightly — no two are identical.

One handle pulled away from the body of the product.coastal-woven-basket.name after five weeks of normal use, carrying a 100g project and nothing else. Support replaced it under warranty without argument and the new one looks better finished, so this may have been a one-off — but I cannot recommend it on my first experience.
I like the product.coastal-woven-basket.name and I use it. But at this price I expected a heavier lining and maybe a detachable pouch. Compare it to a plain canvas bag at half the cost and you are paying a real premium for the design.
The listed capacity on the product.coastal-woven-basket.name is optimistic. With one 100g skein in it there is no room for my pattern folder, and the sides bulge so the zip becomes a two-hand job. If you knit sweaters, look at the larger size.
No complaints about the product.coastal-woven-basket.name itself — the stitching is even, the lining is soft, and it holds a surprising amount. I just wish the shoulder strap could be unclipped so I could use it as a plain basket on the sofa.
The zip on the product.coastal-woven-basket.name runs on metal teeth and glides with one hand. I have had two cheaper bags where the zip split open in my rucksack and I lost half a sock. Not this one. It also has a small pull tab which is much easier with cold fingers.
How many crochet hooks fit, including the bulky ergonomic handles?
The fourteen-hook size fits 14 standard hooks up to 6mm, or 10 if you use chunky ergonomic handles because they are wider. The twenty-hook size is the one to choose for a full ergonomic set.
Is there a left-handed version?
Not yet, and we hear you. The hook roll slots are angled for right-handed use. A mirrored version is on our list for next year — add your email to the restock alert and we will tell you when it exists.
What happens if the size is wrong? Can I exchange it?
Thirty days from delivery, unused and in the original packaging, and we cover the return label for exchanges within the EU, UK, US and Canada. Start it from your account under Orders, or reply to your confirmation email and we will do it for you.
