A traditional hook roll made properly: wool felt slots that grip without scratching, a leather tie that will not slip, and a waxed canvas outer that shrugs off a rainy walk to the yarn shop.
Available in nine, fourteen or twenty hook sizes. The twenty-hook roll takes a full set of ergonomic handles; the nine-hook roll is the one to slip into a small project bag.

One handle pulled away from the body of the product.sage-hook-roll.name after five weeks of normal use, carrying a 100g project and nothing else. Support replaced it under warranty without argument and the new one looks better finished, so this may have been a one-off — but I cannot recommend it on my first experience.
The product.sage-hook-roll.name arrived quickly but with a visible scuff across the base and a small mark on the front panel. Support offered a partial refund straight away, which I appreciated, but for the price I expected the packaging to protect it better than a single layer of paper.
The zip itself is fine but the leather pull worked loose and came off. Support sent a replacement pull within a few days and were genuinely helpful, so I am not angry about it — just noting that this is the one weak point on the product.sage-hook-roll.name.
Bar-tacked at every stress point, bound seams inside so there is no scratchy overlock to snag yarn on, and the base is reinforced. Someone who actually knits designed the product.sage-hook-roll.name. I have used it daily for four months with no loose threads anywhere.
Arrived in six days to Canada, which was great. The outer box had taken a knock in transit and one corner was dented, though the product.sage-hook-roll.name itself was completely fine thanks to the paper padding. Would order again.
How many 100g skeins fit comfortably, with the needles still in?
Two 100g skeins with a printed pattern folder, or three if you pack them side by side and skip the folder. With a 100g skein and a full set of interchangeable tips it still zips closed without strain.
Is the waxed canvas actually water resistant, or is it just a finish?
It is a genuine wax finish on the fabric, so light rain beads off and wipes away. It is not seam-sealed and it is not a dry bag — a sustained downpour will eventually soak through the seams. We recommend re-waxing once a year if you carry it outdoors a lot.
Can I put it in the washing machine?
Please do not. A machine wash strips the wax and can shrink the cotton lining. Spot clean with cool water and a little mild soap, then air dry away from direct heat. Full care notes are on the product page and in the care card that ships with every order.
How long does delivery take to the UK, and who handles it?
Standard delivery to the UK is 5–8 business days via DHL Parcel Connect, tracked end to end. Express is 3–5 business days. Orders placed before 1pm CET ship the same working day.
