Description

Gather your yarn, your current project and those easy-to-misplace essentials in one considered tote. The Everyday Project Tote is built from waxed cotton canvas that softens with use and holds its shape when it is full, with a wide base so it stands open on its own while you work.

Inside, six pockets keep needles, markers and a tape measure where you can see them, and a detachable notion pouch lifts out for the sofa. The shoulder strap is webbing-lined and adjusts from 78cm to 132cm, so it sits comfortably whether you carry it by hand or across your body.

Details
  • Six interior pockets, including two deep enough for a pattern folder.
  • Detachable notion pouch with a brass zip, so small tools travel with you.
  • Reinforced base and bar-tacked stress points, built for years rather than seasons.
  • Adjustable 78–132cm shoulder strap that stays comfortable when full.

Lining is thinner than the photos suggest

The outside of the product.everyday-project-tote.name is sturdy and the stitching is neat. The inside lining, though, is a light cotton with no interlining, so pointy needle tips poke through if you are not careful. I added a felt insert myself and it is fine now.

Saved my back on a long flight

Ten hours to Tokyo with a sweater project in the product.everyday-project-tote.name at my feet. The handles are long enough to loop over the tray table arm and it stayed upright instead of tipping over every time I moved. Yarn stayed clean and untangled the whole way.

Too small for anything but a hat

The listed capacity on the product.everyday-project-tote.name is optimistic. With one 100g skein in it there is no room for my pattern folder, and the sides bulge so the zip becomes a two-hand job. If you knit sweaters, look at the larger size.

Still waiting, three weeks later

Tracking has not moved since the day it was handed over and support could only tell me to wait longer. The product.everyday-project-tote.name may well be lovely when it arrives, but I ordered it for a birthday and that has now passed. Two emails in and no usable answer.

Great bag, but it is heavy before you put anything in it

The product.everyday-project-tote.name is beautifully made and the waxed canvas will clearly outlive me. It is just heavier than my old nylon bag. Fine for a walk to the cafe, less fun on a long hike.

Questions & answers

Will I be charged import duties on delivery for a US order?

Under the current US de minimis rules, orders below the threshold are not charged duty on arrival. Anything above it is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay — we do not hand you a surprise bill on the doorstep. The estimate on the product page is indicative only.

Do you offer gift wrapping and can you leave the price off the packing slip?

Yes to both. Gift wrap is a paid option at checkout and packing slips never show prices. If you add a gift note we will hand-write it on our studio card and leave the slip out entirely.

Is the strap long enough to wear crossbody over a winter coat?

The shoulder strap adjusts from 78cm to 132cm, which we tested over a padded coat. If you are taller than about 190cm and want it fully crossbody, choose the crossbody style option rather than the tote handles.

How many crochet hooks fit, including the bulky ergonomic handles?

The fourteen-hook size fits 14 standard hooks up to 6mm, or 10 if you use chunky ergonomic handles because they are wider. The twenty-hook size is the one to choose for a full ergonomic set.

Pairs nicely with your next project.
